KTM Intercity (Antarabandar) trains serving a different rail line than ETS line. This services using standard trains which is much slower in speed compared to ETS train. It covers Gemas to Johor Bahru, Gemas to Tumpat and Johor Bahru to Singapore routes. Click on the above image for more details.

With ETS train you can get to your destination faster as this new KTMB electric train service can travel up to 160km/h on electrified metre gauge rail line . Currently serving Padang Besar - Gemas - Padang Besar route. And with future route up to JB Sentral once the current double track construction for Johor Bahru line is completed. All ETS train tickets can be booked in advance either through KTM counter or via online. KTM Intercity service by KTMB is using standard train serving Gemas - JB Sentral - Gemas route, Gemas - Tumpat - Gemas route and JB Sentral - Singapore - JB Sentral route. This train speed is very much slower compared to ETS train. KTM Intercity covers train lines which are not within ETS train network. All KTM Intercity train tickets can be booked in advance either through KTM counter or via online.
